The MS-2D engine is an ultra-compact barcode imaging system that can be easily integrated into any device. Featuring advanced technologies for decoding, the MS-2D engine includes a dual optical field for reliable reading of both large 1D barcodes and high density 2D symbols.

Designed specifically for embedded applications, the MS-2D engine provides the best performance available for reading 1D/2D symbols and direct part marks at very close range.
Compact & Lightweight: The MS-2D decode board has a footprint of 1.54” W by 0.98” D by 0.30” H (39.0 mm W by 24.9 mm D by 7.6 mm H) and weighs only 0.10 oz. (2.8 g).

Reading Capabilities: The MS-2D engine with X-Mode decoding algorithms can easily read the most damaged or difficult codes and symbols, including direct part marks.

Multiple Configurations: A variety of mounting features are available including tabs, blind through holes, and mounting brackets. Configuration options include integrated decode board and mounting bracket, or low profile tab mount with remote decode board.

Easy Setup: ESP software provides easy configuration of the MS-2D engine, including selectable trigger and symbology setting.

The MS-4 barcode imager is designed specifically for embedded barcode applications. Currently the world’s smallest high resolution barcode imager, the MS-4’s ultra-compact size and wide angle optics provide the widest field of view available for reading any symbol at close range.

It is the ideal barcode imager for OEM design engineers who need to read 2D symbols in tight spaces with 100% data integrity.

Compact & Lightweight: The MS-4 is the world’s smallest high performance barcode imager. Its small form allows flexible positioning in tight spaces. The lightweight and durable magnesium alloy case weighs less than 2 oz.

Wide Field of View: The MS-4 has an extremely wide field of view and reads linear codes or 2D symbols as close as 1” (25 mm).

Omnidirectional Reading: Linear codes or 2D symbols can be decoded in any orientation. The MS-4 removes the restriction of planning for laser line alignment.

Mounting Flexibility: The MS-4’s compact size, right angle mirror option, and corner-exit cable conserve cubic space to create the tightest fit possible within instrumentation and equipment.

Real-time Controls: The inputs include a trigger signal, a “new master” input, and a programmable input for resetting counters or releasing outputs. The outputs can be configured to activate upon a variety of conditions including matchcode and diagnostic operations.

The QX Hawk is the world’s first imager to be fully integrated with liquid lens technology, enabling infinite focus flexibility.
